(Overview of the Perpormance of Bangladesh Rural Development Board-BRDB)

Bangladesh Polski Development Board (BRDB) has achieved results of the last 03 years of Sharsha upazila.

Bangladesh Polytechnic Development Board (BRDB) as the largest organization of the government engaged in the development of poverty and poverty alleviation, is the key component of human organization-based development team. BRDB has been implementing various programs and development projects in addition to development programs and poverty alleviation programs to ensure sustainable development through the development of socio-economic conditions of the people of the Fisheries community. As part of BRDB's ongoing work strategy, the creation of 26 human organizations in the last three years, organizing the people for the development of the people, 130 new beneficiaries, 100.48 lakh beneficiaries, and 2160 beneficiaries of various productive and income-generating activities. As per financial assistance, 2810.29 loan amount is distributed, 2275.72 bales from the reimbursement loan The debt has been paid. Total 08 programs / projects are being implemented in this upazila.

Problems and challenges:

Inadequate credit funds, interest rates, short ceiling of loans, conditions of payment and obligation, due to conventional and traditional co-operative micro credit management and inadequate education funds, cooperative credit can not achieve desired credit. It is essential to take concerted action to ensure the overall development of the policy, along with timely and modernization of conventional credit management, as well as information technology, post-graduate support, technical cooperation, marketing activities, marketing connectivity management. It is necessary to ensure this necessary financial support and to integrate overall activities in the central and grassroots community development activities together.

Future Action Plan

One of the key contributors to the development of the human resources development, production, and development of the police force in the rural areas through more integrated implementation of the ongoing activities. BRDB will be in the process of acquiring the policy of creation of human organizations, providing training, capital formation, credit distribution, and collection of loans, through a joint initiative of overall policy development and poverty alleviation.

Possible major achievements in fiscal year 2018-2019:

- Human organizations of 3 policies will be created;

- 850 beneficiaries will be given a training session;

- Capital will be formed 32.00 lac;

- The loan will be distributed among the beneficiaries of 1000.00 taka and the money will be distributed

- 920.00 lakhs of recoverable loan will be recovered.
